In this episode of Mentoring for the Modern Musician Michael and Adam talk through the three main levels of a career. Aspiring, emerging and established. While the hope for everyone is to become established-and someday perhaps a legend- ALL musical artist go through all of these stages. It is crucial to understand who you are and WHERE you are in this process. It helps an artist know their perceived worth- or market value so to speak- which helps with day to day upward career movement. Having a solid understanding of where you are on this ladder also helps answer the age-old question “Who are you and why do I care?” It will also help give you a solid direction day to day…and hopefully help you feel more positive and secure in your artistic being!
